Andrea Chovanova

We’d like to take a moment to pay ginormous respect to one of our little Premier Model Ladies, Miss Andrea Chovanova. Not only is she one of the most genuine, sincere and lovely people in this world, super hard working ( she never a moans about anything)… she’s also so humble to have kept her enormous talent as an artist from us. I was only at Christmas time that one of us stumbled across one her drawings and couldn’t quite understand: there’s a little artist amidst our models that’s been keeping her art a secret!!! We couldn’t believe it! We love every single one of her cute, lovely and witty drawings and we’d like to have them all framed NOW!!

This is what Andrea said about how this all came about – and I figured I’ll just “cut and paste” her actual words into this post…

Since I was little girl i loved and produced art , I was trying all kinds of materials, techniques and styles…

I went to High School of Art in Slovakia where I studied Visual Art for 4 years but never enjoyed it really …the closest to my heart has always been Illustration, I love very creative, cute colourful things that I can put on paper…

I don’t even know why but I chose to do illustration for children and maybe I now know why – because it’s honest, it’s happy and is free just like a kid )

painting is very relaxing  and I usually simply use water-colour with a black pen or Indian ink.

I already had one vernissage in a gallery back home in Slovakia . It was amazing to see people enjoying my work, and for the future i can imagine myself doing illustrations for children’s books or postcards etc…

It is always important to do things we love and to do them with love.
