Hair. The single most important thing of beauty, for beauty and in beauty. Carine Roitfeld wasn’t available for a personal comment but I guarantee she’d high-five me in saying that hair determines the hit or miss of a look. I don’t care how much make up you pile on, if your hair is shit, you will look like it. I would even go as far and claim that with great hair I care to go bare!
Now I have done my fair share of hairy research in my life! Let me share my most precious finds and some little hairy victories of my own even!
Haire’s to all of it! Xx MK xX
Emma Mackie the Director of Scouting at Premier Model Management has recently done an exclusive interview with Every Model Magazine about how to catch the eye of a model scout. The interview also talks about how Premier models Lara Mullen, Malaika Firth & Morris Pendlebury were scouted. You can read the interview here on www.everymodelmagazine.co.uk
Last night with a bevy of Premier beauties on our arm- including Hannah Holman, Lara Mullen, Leomie Anderson, Lou Hayter, Julia Sarr Jamois and Valentine Fillol Cordier, we visited the new Serpentine Sackler Gallery to celebrate the launch of the new Chloe book “Attitudes”. Hosted by the incredibly talented (and oh so nice) Creative Director of Chloe, Clare Waight Keller, as well as fashion scribe extraordinaire Sarah Mower and legendary art director Marc Ascoli (who both contributed to the book), the Zara Hadid designed space was awesome, and even included a life sized elephant in the room created by artist Adrian Villar Rojas- A must see and a must read!
Throughout the whole of August the lovely Lara Mullen has been the star of Vogue.co.uk’s cult “Today I’m Wearing” Today is her last day on the blog . So we thought we would share some of our favourite looks… Check out all of Lara’s Vogue photos here.
“Hello Vogue.co.uk, I’m in New York for the Summer. Today I’m wearing an Acne leather and denim biker jacket, an APC leopard print shirt dress and my favourite sunglasses by Miu Miu. I’ve borrowed my friend and fellow model Kate King’s quilted Chanel “Boy” bag (she’s responsible for most of the photos)”
90s grunge really has his moment now.
At first I thought this was merely going to be a one-day fly and not even a great one. I wasn’t the only one looking at Saint Laurent AW14 with somewhat disbelieve… But as the wicked world of fashion has it, one day I woke up and found myself playing around with the torn jean/boyfriend shirt/Nike hoody- idea. First you do it in front of the mirror. You “kinda” start liking your new look. You can imagine what jeans might support the ensemble way better, perhaps a stiffer hoody would make for cooler look, and so on and so forth… You get more and more into this new idea of your stylish self. The 90s grunge you so to speak.
